# AQUALIEN vs Step Counter

The clearest difference is update cadence: AQUALIEN at daily against Step Counter's fortnightly. Step Counter's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AQUALIEN sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Step Counter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AQUALIEN ships an update daily, Step Counter fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
