# Ship Tracker vs FerryDodger

The clearest difference is update cadence: FerryDodger at every 5 days against Ship Tracker's every 6 weeks. FerryDodger also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ship Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and FerryDodger sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $8.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ship Tracker ships an update every 6 weeks, FerryDodger every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
