# Canary vs SPECS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SPECS at none against Canary's 1. Canary's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.1). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Canary sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. SPECS asks for nothing beyond the download.

Canary ships an update every 6 days, SPECS monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
