About

KITE Sampler

KITE Sampler is a free sound sampler and groovebox for your iPad or iPhone. Load your own sounds, chop them on the waveform, and sequence them into a beat. The free version is not a trial. No time limit, no watermark, no account, no export lock. This is a free sampler that stays free: chop samples, slice samples, sequence them, arrange them and bounce the result out as often as you want. Whether you are flipping a loop, building a drum kit from scratch or turning field recordings into an instrument, KITE keeps sampling, sequencing and arranging in one sampler app. Projects you build here open in the desktop version and VST / VST3 of KITE, sold separately. SIX SECTIONS. ONE WORKFLOW. 01 — WAVEFORM EDITOR A touch-optimized sample chopper. Zoom in, set markers, slice and trim. Fast and precise. 02 — STEP SEQUENCER Place kicks, snares, hi-hats and percussion in seconds. It is a sample sequencer: every step plays your own chops, not a preset library. A chop-based step sequencer app, designed for finger-first production rather than adapted from a mouse-and-keyboard workflow. The fastest way to get a groove going on a touchscreen. 03 — SECTION ARRANGER No drawing lines. Chain patterns into Sections and assign Effect Scenes to blocks. 04 — MAPPING EDITOR A mapping editor of the kind usually found only in desktop samplers. Use it as a sampler keyboard: stretch samples across the keys, manage mapping zones, tune each key with precision. 05 — MODULAR SCENE GRAPH Patch effects and route samples between engines. A modular approach to sound design that opens up entirely new possibilities. 06 — PROPERTIES The essential nuts and bolts. Mute groups, envelopes and per-sample settings. WHAT'S FREE • DJ-3-EQ in the Scene Editor • Load and record your own sounds • Waveform editor, slicing and sample chopping • Full mapping editor • Step sequencer and patterns • Chain patterns into Sections • Use it as a sample player or a loop sampler • Properties: mute groups, envelopes, per-sample settings • Save and open projects • Bounce your track out • One sampler engine WHAT MOBILE PRO UNLOCKS A one-time in-app purchase. No subscription. • Modular scene graph and patch routing with all effects • Song arranger • Unlimited sampler engines • Unlimited effects FX RACK (Mobile Pro) Five studio-grade effects per scene: • 2-Band DJ EQ • 3-Band Isolator • BPM-synced delay • Free delay • Space reverb A sampler, a step sequencer and a beat maker in a single app — no stems bouncing between tools. HOW IT WORKS — FROM CHOP TO BEAT 1. LOAD A SOUND Record straight into KITE or import a file. Anything is fair game: a vinyl sample, a voice note, a field recording, a synth line. 2. CHOP IT Open the waveform editor (the active sample from main menu or click the gear icon on a track), zoom in and set your markers. Slice on transients or place them by hand. Every chop becomes a playable pad. 3. SEQUENCE IT Tap kicks, snares and your own chops into the step sequencer. You can define a slice with the Slice dropdown! A pattern takes seconds. Chain patterns into Sections when the idea grows. 4. DEFINE IT Set attack and so on for the active selected Sample in the Property Editor. 5. SHAPE IT Assign Effect Scenes per block, then patch effects and route samples between engines in the scene graph (Mobile Pro). 6. TAKE IT WITH YOU Samples, slices, mapping and routing all save into one .kite file. That same file opens in KITE on desktop as a VST3, CLAP or AUv3 plugin — so a sketch on the tablet is never a dead end.

Kalimba Studio helps you tune a physical kalimba, find your way around its center-out layout, and learn a phrase from number tabs. No ads. PLAY IT BACK IN THE ECHO GARDEN • Kalimba Studio plays a few notes from a real song, then it's your turn: echo them on your kalimba. • Every note it hears clearly blooms a flower. Phrases grow from two notes to five, so a run of echoes teaches the song's opening. • The microphone is off while the app plays, so it never grades its own sound. • An unclear pluck, a touch between two tines or an out-of-tune tine is pointed out, not marked wrong. • No kalimba yet? Play on screen in a clearly labelled touch mode. FIND YOUR FIRST THREE TINES • Follow an illustrated guide for the built-in 8, 10, 15, 17 and 21-key boards. • See the note, octave and position of each starting tine, then try the layout drill. • Hear the note you tap as you work through the drill. Touch practice is separate from microphone grading. • Custom tunings show your saved layout; check it against your physical instrument. TUNE AND CARE FOR YOUR KALIMBA • Read the detected note, cents offset and signal confidence. • Get hammer guidance one tap at a time, only after a stable reading. • Work through the buzz guide before reaching for more force. • Use the tuner and care guide without Pro. LEARN A PHRASE AT YOUR OWN PACE • Read number tabs that show note duration, rests, chords and barlines. • Hear a phrase first, slow it to 50%, move to the part you need, and repeat an A-B section. • Practice with an audible metronome. • Compare timing and tine-choice results separately in Play-Along. WAIT MODE LISTENS FOR YOUR KALIMBA • Advance when a clear pluck matches the expected note. • When the signal is unclear, try another pluck; uncertainty is not marked as a wrong note. • Microphone audio is processed on your device. It is not recorded, saved or uploaded. • Guide playback and microphone grading stay separate. After an interruption or route change, start listening again when you are ready. LESSONS THAT FIT YOUR BOARD • Switch among 8, 10, 15, 17 and 21-key C layouts. • Arrangements fit the available tines without replacing chromatic notes. • On standard 17-key C, 68 of the 80 rights-reviewed melody lessons fit. The 12 incompatible melodies are withheld. MAKE AND SHARE YOUR OWN TABS • Write notes, rests, chords, bars and exact beat durations. • Preview your work before saving it. • Export rhythm-aware PNG and PDF sheets. • Private tabs stay on this device unless you choose to share an export. INCLUDED WITHOUT PRO Echo Garden on the starter songs (10 echoes a day), the playable instrument, tine guide, cents tuner, care and buzz guide, layout drill, three starter lessons, three saved private tabs, and one PNG + PDF export. KALIMBA PRO: PAY ONCE OR SUBSCRIBE Pro unlocks every graded lesson and Echo Garden that fits your selected board, with no daily echo limit, collection-wide Wait Mode and A-B practice, and unlimited private tabs, custom tunings, and PNG + PDF exports.
