# Idea Notes vs TopicFlow

The clearest difference is ads: TopicFlow at none against Idea Notes's shown. TopicFlow also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idea Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TopicFlow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
