# Idea Notes vs B&W To

The clearest difference is ads: B&W To at none against Idea Notes's shown. B&W To also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idea Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and B&W To sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Idea Notes ships an update every 3 weeks, B&W To every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 25, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
