# NeedleNote vs KnitNote

The clearest difference is ads: NeedleNote at none against KnitNote's shown. NeedleNote also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 days). KnitNote's advantage is device support (4 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NeedleNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and KnitNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NeedleNote ships an update every 2 days, KnitNote every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
