# EchoNote vs Whoscribe

The clearest difference is update cadence: Whoscribe at every 2 days against EchoNote's every 9 days. EchoNote's advantage is device support (4 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EchoNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Whoscribe sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EchoNote ships an update every 9 days, Whoscribe every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
