# passOSCE vs Preceptor

The clearest difference is update cadence: Preceptor at weekly against passOSCE's every 3 weeks. Preceptor also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. passOSCE sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $149.99 per 3 months and Preceptor sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $50.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

passOSCE ships an update every 3 weeks, Preceptor weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
