# VintageShot vs Stills

The clearest difference is rating: Stills at 4.9 against VintageShot's 4.0. Stills also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). VintageShot's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stills holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stills has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VintageShot ships an update every 4 days, Stills every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
