# SocRef vs RefMate

The clearest difference is update cadence: RefMate at every 9 days against SocRef's every 3 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SocRef sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and RefMate sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SocRef ships an update every 3 weeks, RefMate every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
