# Fields vs Kinship Vault

The clearest difference is update cadence: Kinship Vault at every 5 days against Fields's every 5 weeks. Fields's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fields sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Kinship Vault sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fields ships an update every 5 weeks, Kinship Vault every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
