# Wool Out! vs Yarn Factory

Wool Out! and Yarn Factory both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Wool Out!'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Yarn Factory's. Yarn Factory's advantage is ratings volume (575 vs 67). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wool Out! sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Yarn Factory sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Wool Out! against 4.8 for Yarn Factory. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Yarn Factory has 575 ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Wool Out!'s written reviews are positive against 43% of Yarn Factory's.

Wool Out! ships an update every 10 days, Yarn Factory fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
