# Ragnarr vs Backtick

The clearest difference is update cadence: Backtick at weekly against Ragnarr's monthly. Backtick also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ragnarr sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Backtick sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ragnarr ships an update monthly, Backtick weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
