# Accel Timer vs CarWidgets

The clearest difference is update cadence: CarWidgets at every 10 days against Accel Timer's every 4 weeks. Accel Timer's advantage is iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Accel Timer sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and CarWidgets sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Accel Timer ships an update every 4 weeks, CarWidgets every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
