# NutrientOS vs VICI

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VICI at none against NutrientOS's 2. VICI also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NutrientOS sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. VICI asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for NutrientOS against 5.0 for VICI. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VICI has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

NutrientOS ships an update fortnightly, VICI every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
