# Countdown ۬ vs Ovlay

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ovlay at every 3 days against Countdown ۬'s every 6 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown ۬ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ovlay sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ۬ ships an update every 6 weeks, Ovlay every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
