# Dotdotbird vs Sashiko

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sashiko at daily against Dotdotbird's every 2 months. Sashiko also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dotdotbird sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Sashiko sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dotdotbird ships an update every 2 months, Sashiko daily. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
