# DMV Driving Hours Log vs Driving Log Pro

The clearest difference is update cadence: DMV Driving Hours Log at every 8 days against Driving Log Pro's every 2 months. DMV Driving Hours Log also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Driving Log Pro's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DMV Driving Hours Log sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Driving Log Pro sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Driving Log Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DMV Driving Hours Log has 30 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DMV Driving Hours Log ships an update every 8 days, Driving Log Pro every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
