# Dircode lock vs CC

The clearest difference is ads: Dircode lock at none against CC's shown. Dircode lock also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). CC's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dircode lock ships an update every 6 weeks, CC every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
