# Rivet vs North Planner

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rivet at every 3 days against North Planner's every 2 weeks. North Planner's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rivet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and North Planner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rivet ships an update every 3 days, North Planner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
