# 阅微 vs AnyRead

The clearest difference is monetization model: AnyRead at free against 阅微's free with in-app purchases. AnyRead also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 阅微 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and AnyRead sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

阅微 ships an update monthly, AnyRead every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
