# VideoPress vs Shrink

The clearest difference is ads: VideoPress at none against Shrink's shown. Shrink's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VideoPress sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Shrink sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.09 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VideoPress ships an update every 4 weeks, Shrink every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
