# ToolVault vs Index

The clearest difference is update cadence: ToolVault at every 6 days against Index's monthly. Index's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ToolVault sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Index sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ToolVault ships an update every 6 days, Index monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
