# DocIt vs ScanMate

The clearest difference is update cadence: DocIt at every 4 days against ScanMate's every 2 weeks. ScanMate's advantage is iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DocIt sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and ScanMate sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
