# Flying vs Squawk

The clearest difference is update cadence: Squawk at every 2 days against Flying's every 4 days. Squawk also leads on iOS requirement (16.4 vs 26.0). Flying's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flying sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Squawk sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Flying against 4.9 for Squawk. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 7 and 10 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Flying ships an update every 4 days, Squawk every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
