# Cyan vs ElecMemo

The clearest difference is ads: Cyan at none against ElecMemo's shown. ElecMemo's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cyan sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and ElecMemo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cyan ships an update every 2 months, ElecMemo every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
