# Echo vs Shift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shift at every 2 days against Echo's every 9 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Echo sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shift sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Echo ships an update every 9 days, Shift every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
