# Portico SSH vs Caret

The clearest difference is device support: Caret at 5 against Portico SSH's 2. Caret also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Portico SSH sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Caret sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
