# Flip Animation vs Sketudio

The clearest difference is rating: Flip Animation at 4.5 against Sketudio's 4.0. Flip Animation also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (30 vs 1). Sketudio's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flip Animation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Sketudio asks for nothing beyond the download.

Flip Animation holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flip Animation has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Flip Animation's written reviews are positive against 100% of Sketudio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flip Animation ships an update weekly, Sketudio every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
