# Apperture vs Multiplex

The clearest difference is update cadence: Multiplex at every 9 days against Apperture's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Apperture sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Multiplex sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Apperture ships an update monthly, Multiplex every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
