# Discipline Matters vs Initiation

The clearest difference is update cadence: Discipline Matters at weekly against Initiation's fortnightly. Initiation's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Discipline Matters sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Initiation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Discipline Matters against 5.0 for Initiation. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively.

Discipline Matters ships an update weekly, Initiation fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
