# Tale Virtues vs Parallel

The clearest difference is rating: Tale Virtues at 5.0 against Parallel's 4.0. Tale Virtues also leads on ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Parallel's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tale Virtues sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Parallel sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tale Virtues holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tale Virtues has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Tale Virtues ships an update every 3 months, Parallel every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
