# RhythmForge vs BackBeat

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BackBeat at none against RhythmForge's 3. RhythmForge's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.5). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RhythmForge sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. BackBeat asks for nothing beyond the download.

RhythmForge ships an update fortnightly, BackBeat every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
