# MindStream vs Sketella

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sketella at every 2 weeks against MindStream's every 5 weeks. MindStream's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MindStream sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $7.99 per month and Sketella sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MindStream ships an update every 5 weeks, Sketella every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
