# QCNotes vs DayPlan

The clearest difference is update cadence: DayPlan at every 3 days against QCNotes's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QCNotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and DayPlan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

QCNotes ships an update every 3 months, DayPlan every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
