# SonarMood vs songScout

The clearest difference is update cadence: songScout at every 3 days against SonarMood's fortnightly. SonarMood's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SonarMood sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and songScout sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SonarMood ships an update fortnightly, songScout every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
