# Benchpad vs Slips

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Benchpad at 15.0 against Slips's 26.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Benchpad sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year and Slips sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Benchpad ships an update fortnightly, Slips weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
