# Phuzzles vs Pixel Gem Loop

Phuzzles and Pixel Gem Loop both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Phuzzles's written reviews are positive against 19% of Pixel Gem Loop's. Phuzzles also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). Pixel Gem Loop's advantage is ratings volume (2.8K vs 1) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Phuzzles sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Pixel Gem Loop sells 17 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Phuzzles against 4.9 for Pixel Gem Loop. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pixel Gem Loop has 2.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
