# Lockout vs RankXP

The clearest difference is monetization model: RankXP at freemium against Lockout's subscription. RankXP also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lockout sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and RankXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Lockout against 5.0 for RankXP. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
