# Lockyn vs Grit

The clearest difference is rating: Lockyn at 4.9 against Grit's 3.5. Lockyn also leads on ratings volume (184 vs 2) and iOS requirement (15.4 vs 18.0). Grit's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lockyn sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Grit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lockyn holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lockyn has 184 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lockyn ships an update every 3 weeks, Grit every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
