# Petal vs PhaseWise

The clearest difference is ads: PhaseWise at none against Petal's shown. PhaseWise also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 10 days). Petal's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Petal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and PhaseWise sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Petal ships an update every 10 days, PhaseWise every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
