# Umi vs SkillMates

The clearest difference is update cadence: Umi at weekly against SkillMates's fortnightly. Umi also leads on iOS requirement (15 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Umi sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per 7 days and SkillMates sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
