# Folio vs Stash

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Folio at none against Stash's 1. Folio also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). Stash's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Folio asks for nothing beyond the download.

Folio ships an update every 2 months, Stash every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
