# AuthGuard vs PinNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: PinNote at every 2 days against AuthGuard's every 2 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AuthGuard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PinNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AuthGuard ships an update every 2 months, PinNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 8, 2026 respectively.
