# Ditty vs Backdrop

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ditty at every 2 days against Backdrop's weekly. Ditty also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ditty sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Backdrop sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ditty ships an update every 2 days, Backdrop weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
