# MyPDFScanner vs FairScan

The clearest difference is ads: FairScan at none against MyPDFScanner's shown. MyPDFScanner's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 6 days) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MyPDFScanner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and FairScan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyPDFScanner ships an update every 3 days, FairScan every 6 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
