# PrepLicense vs Readence

The clearest difference is update cadence: Readence at weekly against PrepLicense's every 6 weeks. PrepLicense's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrepLicense sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $39.99 per month and Readence sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PrepLicense ships an update every 6 weeks, Readence weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
