# Crochet for Beginners vs Knitting

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Crochet for Beginners at 100% against Knitting's 0%. Knitting's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Crochet for Beginners sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Knitting sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Knitting holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Crochet for Beginners's written reviews are positive against 0% of Knitting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crochet for Beginners ships an update every 2 months, Knitting every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
