# Basalt Lab vs Nosta

The clearest difference is update cadence: Basalt Lab at every 3 days against Nosta's every 10 days. Nosta's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basalt Lab sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and Nosta sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Basalt Lab ships an update every 3 days, Nosta every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
